I have been the Head of EQA Services since March 2020 along with being the Scheme Co-ordinator since 2012 for the Food and Environmental Proficiency Testing unit, where I am responsible for the development and improvement of UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) food and water schemes. I joined the organisation (now called UKHSA) in 1988 (previously known as PHLS, HPA and PHE). I also worked for United Kingdom National Quality Assessment Scheme (UK NEQAS) for Microbiology for over 15 years assisting with the bacteriology and fungal schemes.
